   Missions

2nd Church has a passion for serving our local community!

Throughout the year the Missions Team hosts a food truck through Feeding America, supports and serves meals at a local community Supper House and collects clothing and other items to be distributed to local charities to help those in need.  We also host a variety of missions projects as the need arises. The missions team works to support Our Chuches Worldwide Missions programs.

        Bible Study

Throughout the year, 2nd Church hosts a bible study.   Please Join us for a time of coffee,  fellowship and reflection.

Music Ministry

Music Ministy is an important part of the worship service,  led by our Director of Music Ministry Barbara Dulmage. If you love to praise the Lord through song or playing an instrument, please come and join us.  

Second Stitchers


The Second Stitchers gather twice monthly to create children’s quilts and to share in friendship.  Quilts are dedicated several times each year; following dedication, the quilts are donated locally to Family Promise of Grand Rapids.

We have a place for anyone who enjoys sewing.  If you can sew, we can teach you to quilt!

Hospitality Team

 We want to make sure no one feels alone and this ministry works to make sure everyone feels like family. 

The ministry accomplishes this by serving as welcoming hosts on Sunday mornings, prayer support for those in need, sending out cards to those who aren't able to come to church, and through visits and phone calls.

Mens Breakfast

Twice a month the men of the church gather at 8am for a time of fellowship, good conversation and food at the local Fat Boy restaurant.
